Fed keeps low interest rate policy in place

U.S. Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke is scheduled on Wednesdaty to give the first-ever news conference by a Fed chief to discuss monetary policy.The Federal Reserve said on Wednesday that it plans to keep interest rates low for an extended period and that it will complete its $600 billion program to inject money into the economy at the end of June as planned.
